3. The Broodals - Super Mario Odyssey
When it comes to Mario's world, there's probably no villain more persistent than Bowser, who always comes back to kidnap the princess no matter how many times he falls into lava or a conveniently placed mine.
However, if there had to be a runner-up for the title of Mario's most stubborn antagonist, the Broodal family could be a worthy contender.
Not only because they also come back after Mario defeats them, but also because they get smarter each time the plumber pops them out of existence.
The Broodals are a family of anthropomorphic rabbits from Mario Odyssey that act as reoccurring bosses. There are four of them in total, and each one comes back to hurt Mario like he did them at least once.
Despite the fact that in every defeat they suffer, Mario beats them so hard they literally explode, their brutal ends only cause them to be stronger as each one improves their strategy with more bombs, more armor, and, in general, more angry rabbit power!
Of course, this doesn't stop Mario from blowing them up anyway, but at least you have to admire their ingenuity.
After all, they are improving, unlike Bowser, who's been doing the same thing since the 80s.
