10 Video Game DLC Packs That Are The Most Value For Money

Mass Effect 3 unfortunately ended up being a game that found itself steeped in criticism and controversy thanks to an underwhelming ending and a perceived lack of quality. EA flew into damage control mode to release alternate endings for free, but sadly the damage had already been done for a large amount of the trilogy's fanbase.

Anyone who did abandon Mass Effect 3 at this time would have missed out on some really excellent content that arrived some time later. The Citadel DLC pack opened up brand new areas of the titular space station and featured a sinister conspiracy that targets Commander Shepard. The ensuing investigation is full of intriguing moments and some really enjoyably nostalgic nods to earlier parts of the series.

What was most enjoyable about the Citadel DLC, however, was the way in which it made use of one of the series' biggest strengths: its characters. Friends from earlier in the trilogy are reunited here, assuming you managed to save them, and Citadel represents the kind of epilogued aftermath that the Mass Effect series deserved. If you can find it in your heart to forgive EA's prior indiscretions, then this DLC is absolutely worth splashing the cash on!
