Why Hes A Douche: Nathan Drake is perhaps one of gamings most loveable douches thanks to his love affair with the sound of his own voice, and his inability to stay out of trouble even for like, 5 seconds. Hes got a smart-mouthed quip for every situation, even if that situation involved him being locked in a room with a knife-psychopath whose trigger is sarcasm. Drake shares a similar douche-baggery to Indiana Jones (not the only similarity between the two mind you); a douche-baggery that means he constantly ends up with a mouthful of more than he can chew. Lucky hes got l33t sons of bitches like us with the pad in our hand. Looks like well have to bail him out AGAIN!
Why You Love Him: Seriously, whats not to love about a character like Nathan Drake? Yeah, hes a douche, but Im a douche in the exact same way. In fact most of us are were sarcastic, we try to get a laugh whenever we can, and we cant seem to keep ourselves out of trouble. Admittedly that might be trouble with the missus, or with our boss, but its trouble nonetheless. In a modern, sarcastic age, Nathan Drake is one of the most cleverly conceived and effortlessly relatable characters on the market. Small wonder then that hes considered by many to be the poster-boy of the PS3. Drake, youre a douche and a colossal one at that when you want to be, but christ, youre not half funny and youve given us plenty to do on a rainy Sunday.
