10 Video Game Easter Eggs STILL Undiscovered

And finally, we come to what's surely the most agonising unsolved mystery in the history of video games - Grand Theft Auto V's Mount Chiliad.

Much like Cyberpunk's Easter egg, Mount Chiliad has its own very active subreddit.

As for the mystery itself? Players who reach the cable car station atop the mountain will find a bizarre, distinctive mural on the wall - a map of Mount Chiliad filled with strange symbols, of a UFO, cracked egg, and a man wearing a jetpack, while a large eye-like object is mounted at the very top of the mountain.

Ever since the mural was discovered shortly after the game's 2013 release - a whole decade ago! - fans have agonised over its true meaning and what figuring it out could possibly reveal.

Some have rather optimistically theorised it might unlock a demo for Grand Theft Auto VI one day, while others believe it simply outlines the conditions for achieving 100% completion, given that doing so will cause UFOs to appear over Mount Chiliad.

And yet, the theories are myriad enough that there's no real consensus on what the mural relates to.

It's absolutely worth considering that Rockstar may have included the Easter egg simply to troll players and it may be nothing more than a piece of weird art, or that it even relates to content cut from the final game.

Needless to say, it'll be interesting to see whether or not GTA VI can rustle up a mystery this singularly compelling when it eventually releases... someday.
