10 Video Game Easter Eggs That Will Blow Your Mind
8. Demon Bipedal Axe Wielding Cows
As the title suggests, the Diablo series is also about killing devils and demons. Pretty terrifying, right? Well just imagine if the bad guys were cows. Demon cows. Demon, bipedal cows. Demon, bipedal, axe wielding cows. Why are there killer cows in Diablo 2? Well, when the first Diablo game released strange rumours circled around the playgrounds about a secret level that contained nothing but cows. It was just one of those stupid things bored kids come up with to make their friends waste entire afternoons clicking on cows. However, Blizzard, Diablo's creators, were so sick of this rumour that they put it in Diablo 2. In order to reach it, you'll have to finish the main game once and then combine two specific items to create a portal. Step into the portal and you'll find yourself in a large meadow, being chased by dozens of killer cows. Their leader is a powerful bovine called the Cow King, and as long as you don't kill him, you can keep coming back to the Secret Cow Level to collect items for the normal game. 13 years later in Diablo 3, players met the Cow King again, this time in ghost form. He'll deny the exsistance of a second cow flavoured level. He's right. This time combining some items into another portal that will take you to Whimseyshire, a magical land filled with rainbows and teddies that you can dismember. YAAAY!
