10 Video Game Franchises Microsoft Needs To Win The Console War

1. Left 4 Dead

The multiplayer shooter to end all multiplayer shooters, although depending on your love of all things decaying and zombified, you might think L4D has had its day in the sun. Developers Turtle Rock are heading up the monster-iffic Evolve at the minute, but following that - depending on fan-reception and if we all get too tired of playing what looks to be a solid core idea online - L4D is more than ready to make a comeback. For many Xbox fans this is the first title they played online at all (this and Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow anyway), and it's because it was backed up by the immense budget of Valve alongside the brilliantly proficient gameplay of Turtle Rock, that it really came together perfectly. Dead Rising 3 somewhat proved zombies can still be a fun enemy to mow down, and with The Last of Us also showing a more 'realistic' infected take on a post-apocalyptic setting can be ace, L4D's third instalment will surely find a way to stay relevant regardless. What Microsoft titles do you want to see return to being exclusives, or for the company to bring back that made you love Xbox in the first place? Let us know in the comments!
