What Everyone Says: "This is literally the least appealing way to play football ever conceived."

To many, the prospect of playing a dedicated football management sim just seems "sad" or at least ridiculous, when you have two potentially more appealing options: either play an actual game of football in the latest FIFA title, or play an actual, actual game of football by finding some friends and heading outside.

Instead, the Football Manager series hangs out in the shadowy wings, its popularity evidently ensuring that it continues to exist, even if it's rarely spoken about outside of message boards dedicated to it. It's difficult to make football nerdy, but these games manage it, and that's why you can easily forget that they even exist.
