10. Prince Arthas Menethil (Warcraft III/World of Warcraft)
Job: Prince of Lordaeron
Im tempted to say poor Arthas, but he was kind of bastard, wasnt he? He started out on the right track, though, seeking to rid his fathers kingdom of the plague turning folks into undead monsters. Things went south when he killed an entire village of people on the verge of turning into the undead and then whilst influenced by his necromantic sword Frostmournemurdered his father, thus bringing about the destruction he sought to prevent. One could make the argument that Arthas soul was stolen by Frostmourne and everything that happens afterward isnt really his fault which is, to a degree, true. However, Arthas gave up the moral value of his soul long before he came into contact with the sword by his Machiavellian approach to achieving his goals (e.g., murdering infected villagers, betraying mercenaries so his troops will stay under his command). Frostmourne was simply the apt reward for his ruthlessness. Are we missing anyone? Let us know in the comment section below.
