10 Video Game Joke Characters That Are Secretly Deadly
It's not the silly outside that counts, it's the deadly inside.

Not every character you face in video games is meant to be a challenge. Some of them are low-level mobs for you to learn how to play, and some are made deliberately weak and pathetic as a joke.
However, looks can be deathly deceiving.
In rare exceptions, the seemingly harmless joke character can actually turn out to be more dangerous than actual enemies and bosses in the game. Instead of being a walking punchline to a prank made at their own expense, such characters are actually cruel traps made to prank the player instead.
And if you're not careful, underestimating your opponent can be the last mistake you ever make.
The bait can come in many shapes and forms. Some of them are unseeming creatures that hide a secret superpower, some may use their silly characteristics to their own advantage in ways you didn't even think were possible.
Whatever the case may be, entering a fight with these characters seems to be a walk in the park at first, but once they land the first punch on you, you'll learn they really are no joke!
10. Touch Me - Final Fantasy VII

The range of enemies you have to fight in Final Fantasy VII is quite insane. One moment you might be fighting a gargantuan demon or mech, and in the next, you're pitted against a couple of rainforest frogs.
However, just because the latter enemies are small and adorable, it doesn't mean they aren't dangerous.
Touch Me is a low-level monster resembling a tiny dancing frog. Despite its harmless appearance, it's considered to be one of Final Fantasy VII's most annoying and dangerous foes due to one ability that can render your entire squad completely unable to fight.
You see, although Touch Me has low stats, it can turn all your party members into frogs with equally pitiful skills. Not only that, the frogification spell called Frog Jab has 100% accuracy, meaning that once Touch Me uses it, nothing can save you from becoming a slimy amphibian.
On its own, Touch Me isn't much of a threat, but if you stumble upon two of them accompanied by another monster, the combination can put your entire squad six feet under.
It's the old philosophy of "If you can't beat them, make them as pathetic as you are."
