10 Video Game Levels That Confused Everyone As Kids
2. Landing The Plane On ANY Level - Top Gun
Konami's 1987 Top Gun game is notoriously challenging, not so much for its dogfighting gameplay but the simple fact that landing your plane back onto the aircraft carrier at the end of a mission is spectacularly frustrating.
Players have to control their altitude and speed to a ridiculously narrow margin of error in order to land successfully, and it's such a strict requirement that many kids likely assumed there was something else they were also supposed to do.
It's been a running joke for over three decades that landing an actual plane is less of a headache than it is in this game, because even if you manage to pull it off once, it's most likely a total fluke that you'll rarely (if ever) be able to replicate.
