In Telltale’s Jurassic Park: The Game, players may have noticed a mistake with the security video screens. Each screen features a little playback bar at the bottom, as if the whole thing is just a clip being played in a media player.

It looks silly, but it’s totally intentional and actually a really cool homage to the original movie! In one of the film’s scenes, we see the villainous Dennis Nedry having a ‘video call’ with a guy who’s going to help him flee the island with stolen dino DNA.

If you look closely during this scene, you can see that the alleged ‘live video feed’ Nedry is watching is actually just a video clip with a playback bar at the bottom. Computer technology back in 1993 wasn’t what it is today, so the makers of the film didn’t take the time to cover up the playback bar and most viewers probably never noticed, but Telltale decided to recreate the amusing goof in their game for hardcore Jurassic Park fans.
