2. What Happened To Rhino? - Spider-Man 2

Spider Man Rhino
Insomniac

When Insomniac's Spider-Man 2 was released, many players were left baffled by the conspicuous absence of supervillain Rhino, who appeared in both the first Spider-Man game and the Miles Morales spin-off.

Despite Kraven the Hunter being confirmed to have killed Scorpion, Vulture, Shocker, and Electro either before or during the sequel, Rhino's fate is left bizarrely up in the air.

However, enterprising players eventually discovered a way to glitch into a dev "test room" situated underneath the map of New York City.

Below Greenwich, there's a room which appears to resemble a secret lair for Kraven, complete with a wall containing the lovingly mounted severed heads of his victims as "trophies."

And taking pride and place in the center is the head of none other than Rhino himself, seeming to suggest that Insomniac originally intended for Kraven to kill him, but for whatever the reason the decision was made to keep his fate more ambiguous.

While Rhino's demise here obviously isn't canon, it is nevertheless a relief for fans to finally get a glimpse of what his original "role" in Spider-Man 2 was going to be.
