10 Video Game Mysteries The Developers Had To Solve For You

7. Batman Arkham Asylum - The Secret Room

Being the world's greatest detective is a right laugh in the Arkham games, but players were left feeling pretty foolish after they were TOLD about a secret in the first instalment, about a year after it was launched by Rocksteady themselves.

The secret is a room that was hidden in the Warden Sharpe's office, and it required three explosive gels to be placed on an unmarked wall in order to reveal the new area. I can imagine people putting one gel on the wall to test specific surfaces, but three? We had no chance. Thankfully, Rocksteady spelled things out to the community in a Game of the Year podcast, and all was well.

Inside you can find detailed schematics which actually foreshadow the second game, Arkham City’s setting. It’s a brilliant extra, possibly hidden a bit too well, but it adds to that rich leathery layer that is Batman.
