8. Trenchcoat Man - Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas

Another franchise run by the wizards of detailed NPCs, Rockstar’s Grand Theft Auto games are just as populated with weird extras as Red Dead, but none quite as enigmatic as the Trenchcoat Man. Nameless, strange, and defined only by his big old trenchcoat, you can find him muttering about aliens when you encounter him as a pedestrian - shouting about lizards wearing our skin and his unfortunate habit of being abducted to the heavens by little green men.

This is all well and good, but is it really that dark? Well, if that doesn’t tickle your disturbing pickle, then it’s where the Trenchcoat Man turns up that will get your blood pumping.

In North Bone County desert, there’s an eerie, unmarked mass grave that has been connected to he who wears the Trenchcoat by way of his spawn sites. The man will appear at not one shack near the site, but two, with the second strewn with body parts and a wheat thresher covered in blood. And to make it even more suspicious, he only goes there at night.

If anyone’s got a side job in serial killing, it’s definitely this nutter.
