10 Video Game NPCs Hiding Dark Secrets

NPC children seem to get a pretty easy ride in games. They’re everything from rag-tag gangs of beggar informatives to simple townsfolk enjoying a quiet life, never having to worry too much about the horrifying consequences of gameplay because they’re literally children - and no-one would do harm to a poor, defenceless child right?

Wrong. Challe would. Challe is a bad person.

Sitting in her hut titled the ‘Home For Little Tykes’ within the lands of World of Warcraft, Challe runs a haven for kids of Nagrand and Zangermarsh that isn’t what it seems. Where babies are resting and younglings run around happy and free outside the hut, round the back there’s a much darker implication - with three cages containing humanoid remains saying more than Challe ever could about her pastimes.

Nearby, old meat festers and is covered in flies, and a cooking fire is lit and ready to go. The implication is that Challe is a baby-eating freak running a daycare racket in the hills, and there isn’t anything you can do about it. Extra creepy.
