10 Video Game Remakes We NEED On Next-Generation Consoles

6. Silent Hill

After the huge success of the previously mentioned Resident Evil remake, it would make sense for Konami to follow suit with Silent Hill. This survival horror franchise started off at the top, but over the years has seen a steady decline, with the last game being released in 2012.

Things did look up for a split second though, with the universally adored P.T. demo, which was cancelled soon after. To garner so much attention and acclaim from a single demo, shows not only the power behind Konami’s creative minds, but the desire for the series as a whole.

With P.T. now firmly dead and buried, a next logical step would be to remake the original game. While still a classic, it’s fairly dated by now, especially in the graphics department. Visuals have come so far in the time since its release so they could truly work wonders with the characterization and world design.

Silent Hill's perpetual fog may have been a limitation of console power but has since become iconic. We need it on next-gen consoles. There really isn’t anything else like Silent Hill.

Seeing Pyramid Head coming from the dark fog in gorgeous 4K would be genuinely terrifying. Updating the controls and expanding on the story would be an even bigger step up. Silent Hill (just like its fans) is absolutely begging for a remake.
