10 Video Game Rooms You Should NEVER Enter
1. The Last Of Us – Hotel Basement
There’s no denying The Last Of Us’ impact on the previous generation. Launched in 2013, Naughty Dog’s juggernaut became a defining experience for PS3, brought to life by some outstanding performances and an engaging plot.
Widely acclaimed, one moment which left many fans cursing it was a certain hotel basement. After getting through a third of the game, Joel and Ellie arrive in Pittsburgh, finding an old hotel but become separated after Joel falls down an elevator shaft.
Landing in a flooded basement, Joel needs to find a generator to power up the stairwell door to allow him back up. Sounds simple enough until the moment you activate it, summoning a swarm of enemies to attack and led by a notorious Bloater.
It’s damp, disgusting, certain parts are covered in rotting fungus and completely unlit, making for a deeply unpleasant atmosphere and one of TLOU’s most intense segments.
