10 Video Game Secrets That Literally Wasted Your Time

3. A Literal Easter Egg - Futurama: The Game

Futurama: The Game is easily number one on this list when it comes to the amount of complexity and effort it takes to find its easter egg.

The process is so long and nonsensical that it actually took almost two decades for someone to discover it!

The secret in question is hidden in an early stage, on the Planet Express map. To find it, you have to first enter and leave the boiler room after opening Leela's locker, but without opening any other locker inside. Then, you have to destroy the fire extinguisher window in the main hallway, open the wire drawer near the reanimator, get exactly seven cash collectibles, and then finally break the TV in the conference room.

If you did everything correctly, you will hear a loud sound effect, and a secret passage will open in the hallway. If you didn't, well, your only choice is to restart the stage and try again.

At this point, you might be wondering what awesome secret is hidden in the unlocked hallway for it to take hours of experimenting with random and completely disconnected tasks.

And here's the kicker! It's just a giant floating Easter egg. A literal, useless Easter egg!

Just lovely!
