10 Video Game Sequels You Didn't Know Were Coming In 2021
8. Evil Genius 2: World Domination
Cult classic strategy game Evil Genius was released eons ago in 2004, a "world domination simulator" in the vein of Dungeon Keeper which served as a lovingly goofy tribute to classic spy movies.
At the end of 2004, after the game had received positive reviews and even a BAFTA nomination for Best Original Music, Elixir Studios confirmed a sequel was in the works, only for the studio to close the very next year due to financial issues.
Rebellion Developments went on to acquire the IP, and in 2017 it was finally confirmed that the sequel was indeed in development, with Evil Genius 2: World Domination being unveiled at E3 2019.
Though the game missed its initial 2020 release window, its March 30, 2021 date was just recently confirmed, and from what we've seen so far, it looks like a more-than-worthy successor to the much-loved original.
