10 Video Game Shopkeepers Who Sold You Utter Trash

7. Renon - Castlevania 64

Fallout 3 Griffon
Konami

Castlevania's Renon is a demon salesman who shows up to sell you healing kits, roast meat, restorative ampoules, and other curative items during the game.

His stock may not be particularly alluring compared to other vendors throughout Castlevania 64, but he's easily accessible and seems harmless enough, right?

Except Renon neglects to tell players that spending over 30,000 gold with him is tantamount to selling him your soul.

And so, if you've been patronising Renon a lot during the game, you'll have to face his winged, demonic form as an additional boss before taking on Dracula, with victory being the only way to break the apparent "agreement" you had no knowledge of making.

The items Renon sold you may have been inherently fine, but ultimately he was really trying to sell you something else entirely - your own spiritual demise.
