10 Video Game Unlocks Nobody Could Afford

Collector’s editions are fantastic for those who want some extra goodies to go along with their brand-new game. Mortal Kombat fans who picked up the pricey Kollector's Edition for MK11, for example, would get their hands on an eye-catching Scorpion mask statue alongside a treasure trove of in-game items. One such addition was the Golden Demon skin for Scorpion to go along with the statue included with the collection.

Those looking to pick up this stylish costume as a regular DLC purchase, however, were out of luck. The only way to get this unlockable was to purchase the Kollector’s Edition, which sold for a sizeable £250/$300.

With all copies selling out, acquiring this exclusive costume is now exceedingly difficult to do. While it is possible to buy the Kollector's Edition online, finding one with the code still unused is even harder and comes with a high price point.

If getting this skin wasn’t impossible enough, the developers also released a super rare skin for Sub-Zero as part of the Ultimate Kollector’s Edition, which is just as difficult to get now as the other skin.

Anyone in possession of either of these items can proudly declare themselves to be a devoted Mortal Kombat fan.
