10 Video Game Villains That Made The Biggest Impact In The Smallest Time

10. Pyramid Head - Silent Hill 2

Silent Hill 2 Pyramid Head
Konami

Time On Screen: Approx. 8 mins

Sometimes a horrifically macabre visual is all you need, and as Pyramid Head appeared with what looked like a victorian bathtub on his head, we all knew he was going to be gaming legend.

Best of all though, like all the demons that infest Silent Hill while protagonist James Sunderland is exploring, Pyramid Head is formed from James' own psyche.

Representing James' desire to be punished, when exploring the Wood Side Apartments you can spy Pyramid Head through the bars that split one corridor in two. If we're talking about what really made an impact though, it's the quasi-"rape" sequence where ol' PH appears to grope and abuse two mannequins, while James hides in fear.

Again representing how much Sunderland has abused the love of his wife before the events of the game, you go on to fight this perverted abomination in a quick boss fight, before a number of endings can result in two Pyramid Heads eventually killing themselves, after James realises the truth.

Either way though, for as much as this figure is iconic as hell and starred in the Silent Hill movies, his screentime doesn't even break 10 minutes.
