10 Video Game Villains We WANTED To Win

2. Pagan Min - Far Cry 4

Though Far Cry 3's Vaas Montenegro is undeniably the most iconic antagonist in the franchise, Far Cry 4's Pagan Min beats him on the relatability and sympathy fronts.

To be clear, the country of Kyrat is a fascinating stew of moral ambiguity at the best of times, and so when you consider that the charismatic despot Min has known nothing but a life of violence since the cradle, is it at all shocking that he turned out the way he did?

Kyrat is already in ruins before Min usurps control, and given that both of the game's two alternatives to Min, the Golden Path's Amita and Sabal, ultimately have highly questionable methods, it truly feels like maintaining the status quo is the least-damaging approach.

Hilariously, players are actually able to let Pagan Min win in the game's secret ending, which is unlocked by simply sitting tight for 15 minutes at the start of the game until he comes back and helps you spread your mother's ashes. What a guy.
