10 Video Games You Can't Explain Without Sounding Like A Psychopath

2. Madworld

Good luck explaining: The image of someone impaled through the jacksie with a spike. No, not a game about Gary Jules, instead one of only a handful of attempts that saw Nintendo trying in vein to reign in some older gamers for their system - and a very enjoyable one at that, despite the overcrowded HUD and off-putting presentation being a major factor as to why this didn't do anywhere near as well as it should have done. Playing as random brute Jack, Madworld employs a brilliant Sin City-esque aesthetic in that for the majority the game is in black and white, with the violent blood spurts of your enemies covering the walls and floors of every arena. You€™re free to dispatch foes in as many inventive ways as you can think of, ranging from slamming them into a wall-full of spikes to taking a chainsaw to an entire group, or just ramming a lamppost through someone€™s face. It€™s all spectacularly violent and ridiculous in the way only Platinum Games can, and with more than a nod to Grasshopper Games€™ spectacularly insane No More Heroes, Madworld did find something of a following on the console thanks to a great control scheme, it€™s just a shame it never saw any sequels or remakes.
