8. Oddworld: Soulstorm
With the lovable little Mudokon Abe at its centre, Soulstorm is the latest in the Oddworld franchise to bring the strange continent of Mudos to life. We've recently been blessed with a snippet of the visuals from the upcoming title and a promise of a 2020 release, so it's full steam ahead on both nostalgia and Glukkon-bashing alike.
Originally, Abe's Oddysee was one of many PlayStation releases that defined a generation of childhoods, following the story of Abe as he saves his race from being ground up into pulpy food and served to devious upper classes. This was remade in 2014 as New 'n' Tasty!, with Soulstorm coming as a direct sequel, rather than a remake of the first sequel, Abe's Exoddus.
It's all very strange and confusing, but the bottom line is that this hot new take on nice space frogs will be hitting systems sometime next year. Cue the excited Mudokon farts!
