10 Video Games That Failed So Hard They Actually Won
6. Ride To Hell: Retribution
Sometimes you come across a game that's so on-the-nose godawful, it's genuinely impossible to know just how aware the developers were when making it. Well, being that Eutechnyx - the guys who made unlockable videos of girls stripping in another release Street Racing Syndicate - are behind this, we're going to go ahead and assume they thought they were making an edgy, GTA-style box-ticking magnum opus for the ages. Taking aesthetic cues from Sons of Anarchy (or GTA's The Lost and Damned) Ride to Hell is a badly-programmed mess of third-person combat with all the weight of a dry sponge, along with repetitive driving sections that occasionally glitch out altogether. Throw in the fact the designers portray every woman as someone who'll drop their pants at the very sight of your character - along with said sex-scenes still being fully clothed - and the fact that this still found its way into far too many households alongside Kotaku themselves writing something positive about it is astounding.
