10 Video Games You Had To Hide From Your Parents
3. SoulCalibur
Sometimes all it took to instigate that "Is this good for my child?" thought process in a parent was an image - which in the case of the Soul Calibur was nearly always some of the most ridiculously over-sexualised characters in the history of gaming.
Although the males are just as over-muscled and polished to a mirror sheen as the ladies, it's the inflato-chests of characters like Ivy and Taki that turn heads whenever they're included in promotional material or in-game.
With bodies that are incredibly over-exaggerated to the point of parody, even though the core fighting system that holds everything together is one of the best out there, part of the reason SoulCalibur never manages to hang with the heavyweights in the genre is due to a pretty sleazy aesthetic.
We've not seen a proper SoulCalibur title since 2012's fifth, which somewhat toned down the overblown character designs from the past titles in terms of how much skin was on show. It's hopefully in response to the fact that the ladies' love-balloons are regularly being poked fun at, rather than regarded as anything attractive.
