10 Video Games IMPOSSIBLE To 100% If You Hit Credits
6. Dark Souls
The Dark Souls franchise, as well as other titles by Miyazaki, have always been chock-full of small details you may miss.
The fact that most of the game's lore and the story is actually hidden within item descriptions is a testament to how much players could miss out on if they aren't careful. This has remained a staple for the series that spilled into the Bloodborne universe as well.
For example, a fan favourite NPC, Big Hat Logan, sells some of the best arcane spells but in order to find him, players must first destroy a hidden wall and then return with the key to his cage - something you'll almost never stumble upon without a guide.
Items, such as Bloodborne's umbilical cords, even lead to alternate endings, but again they take a lot of sleuthing out.
More to the point, Dark Souls is unique as it is physically impossible to truly 100% on a single playthrough. Several NPC's have sidequests that wipe out the other, and the player will need to choose a certain path to take.
Choosing to help the cunning Knight Lautrec will result in the death of Anastacia of Astora who you use to upgrade your Estus Flask, locking out other 100% completion stats associated with that item.
