10 Video Games NO ONE Can Agree On

1. Dragon Age: The Veilguard

Days Gone Decan
EA

Few games in recent times have been more harshly contested than Dragon Age: The Veilguard. The hugely hyped action-RPG was solidly received by critics, though the player response has been all over the shop.

To some, The Veilguard was a refreshingly breezy, well-paced RPG that didn't outstay its welcome - a much-needed corrective to its wildly bloated predecessor, Dragon Age: Inquisition.

But it also left many fans up in arms for, by their perception, steering the series in a decidedly shallower route both in terms of its gameplay and story.

The repetitive, generic quest design was widely criticised, and there was a common sentiment that the writing was overtly sanitised to the point of disinterest.

For many, The Veilguard is however a solid RPG on its own merits but just not a terribly good Dragon Age game, which likely goes a way to explaining why it underperformed commercially for EA.

It'll certainly be interesting to see in which direction the discussion surrounding the game sways in the years to come, but as of right now there's no consensus on it at all.
