10 Video Games Ruined By Absolutely Terrible Controls

5. Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops

The prospect of a handheld, 3D Metal Gear Solid game is an exciting one. When Portable Ops released on the PSP back in 2007, fans were looking forward to taking Snake on the go, able to get a healthy dose of stealthy action wherever and whenever they chose.

Sadly, like Metroid Prime Hunters, the translation from home console game to portable handheld game just didn't go very well. Controlling the camera is like wrestling a frantic bull, and the ability to centre the camera directly behind Snake's shoulders is borderline useless given half the time the person you want to see more clearly is behind you.

The inability to simulteanously move, control the camera and perform basic actions is one of the main reasons why Portable Ops, despite strong execution, just doesn't sit very well with most Metal Gear Solid fans.
