10 Video Games That Were Scored Way Too Highly On Release

2. Destiny

IGN: 78 Gamespot: 60 Eurogamer: 80 The debate rages on with Destiny - so far alongside Watch Dogs and Titanfall it either completes the trifecta of failure that detractors of the new consoles need to say the whole generation-change is a total waste of time, or it's the first title you've invested a real chunk of time into, loving almost every second. Gamespot managed to get this one spot on, as amongst the sea of hatred spewing forth about just how annoyingly repetitive it can be - or how the campaign is nigh-on non-existent - Destiny is the very definition of a 6/10 game. Artistically it's a few notches above anything sci-fi tinged from the last few months, but in terms of a complete package that lives up to Bungie's pedigree as the studio that left Microsoft exclusivity for the sake of working on a new IP, the fact that 500 million dollars later it's morphed into this... is a bit disturbing to say the least. Where do you sit on how well it plays vs. how much impetus there is to play it at all? So far we've covered both sides of the debate alongside how some elements such as Peter Dinklage's voiceover work end up affecting the game far more negatively than it should.
