10 Video Games Studios Were IDIOTS To Cancel

9. Silent Hills

In what has to be one of the biggest travesties in gaming survival horror history, Silent Hills came out of nowhere hitting us like a train with excitement and hype, and then was almost immediately killed off as publisher Konami pulled the plug.

Silent Hills is perhaps one of the most infamous cancelled games in history, and one that players everywhere still hope will be released at some point. The hype around this game was unreal; after Konami pushed out P.T, a short, playable teaser for an unknown survival horror game, people soon cracked it apart and were greeted with a trailer for Silent Hills, fronted by none other than legendary game designer and Metal Gear creator Hideo Kojima himself.

The project was to star Norman Reedus of The Walking Dead fame, and looked to build upon the terrifying foundations established in the P.T demo.

Then Metal Gear Solid V happened, Kojima and Konami had a big bust up, and Konami decided to cancel the project and make Pachinko machines and a terrible Metal Gear Solid spinoff. Kojima then went on to create Death Stranding, which was we all know finally allowed Kojima to create a project with Norman Reedus.

Is there still any hope that Konami might see sense and actually make Silent Hills at some point? We honestly don't know right now, but that won't stop us from pushing out relentless thoughts in their direction trying to subtly influence them to do it.
