With Capcom having thankfully washed their hands of 2013’s misjudged and misappropriated reboot DMC: Devil May Cry and returned to form for smash-hit Devil May Cry 5, it’s high time the original games get some much needed love and remake attention.

While the first 3 games did get a facelift for 2018’s HD Collection, allowing 1080p visuals for modern consoles, DMC 5 proved that the classic gameplay improved upon in the RE Engine is as popular as ever.

While it’s not the first game in the series, Devil May Cry 3’s narrative is the first chronologically, and the origin of Dante and Vergil’s rivalry would make a great follow up to the most recent game for new fans.
