10 Video Games That Deserve Sequels
1. Bully
Bully was a game released by Rockstar Studios in 2006, and whilst it was not a commercial success, it was critically appreciated and went on to become a cult classic, and it's easy to see why. The title is overwhelmingly charming, and the world of the game is so much fun to be in.
The novelty of taking classes, riding your skateboard around the school and the stereotypical interactions with the school group archetypes were all great experiences that built on what was fundamentally an entirely fun game to play.
A sequel could have expanded on the school, letting us see new social groups, new ways of vandalising and an exciting narrative. There were things about the original title that could have benefited from fine-tuning, and it's believable that a sequel would recapture the magic and charm of the first.
Unfortunately despite the desire from many, the disappointing performance of the first game will likely mean that a sequel will never be played.
