10 Video Games That Got Women (And Men) Completely Wrong

8

This game is incredibly depressing. The labor issues are depression, the sheer number of women murdered is depressing and the story is depressing. From teen girls having sex with movie executives to charred corpses posed postmortem. The women are almost always naked while the men are always fully clothed. Of course you crouch over naked female murder victims all the same - and move your hand around to investigate. It's extremely creepy. Given it is meant to be a somewhat accurate portrayal of the time so a lack of female police officers in LA is accurate - but there were plenty of respectable and successful women who are absent in the game (unless they are dead). And instead of commenting on civil rights issues present in the time L.A. Noire seems to jump to historical stereotypes. Making the most depressing part of the game is the potential it had (past tense).
