10 Video Games That Kill You No Matter What

8. Bloodborne

Like Dark Souls before it, Bloodborne is a game that loves to kill you over and over again. In fact, from the very first moment you're put in control of your created character, the game proceeds to pit you against an enemy that you have virtually no chance of beating.

Opening the first door and coming face to face with a blood-soaked werewolf, you're then forced into a fistfight with the monster which 99% of the time results in you being utterly mauled while you flail around helplessly.

Fortunately, you actually need to die in Bloodborne to make it to the Hunters Dream - a hub world that awards players with weapons, fast-travel points and merchants - in order to actually equip your character with the items required to face the horrors ahead.

You can technically beat the werewolf to death with your barehands if you're skilled/persistent enough, but eventually you will have to die in order to be sent to this otherworldly headquarters.
