10 Video Games That Let You Become A Literal Monster
8. Aliens Vs. Predator (2010)
Alien vs. Predator holds the distinction on this list of not being able to play as one but two types of extraterrestrial monster. Spoilt or what?
Do you become one kind of hunter, that seeks trophies for the hunt, be it human or otherwise? Or do you play as the perfect organism, whose structural perfection is matched only by its hostility?
Playing as the former, you're sent under the guise of trial and initiation, picking off colonial marines as you thwart the Xenomorphic prey your kind has long since hunted for sport.
Will it be the spear, the shoulder cannon or the personal touch with the wrist-mounted blades? Where will you keep your trophies?
Or you can play as a Xenomorph, getting revenge on Weyland Yutani, breaking free of your constraints and overrunning the planet with your brethren. Which, in all honesty, is just as fun.
Stalking from the shadows before dropping down on your victims is simplistic savagery at its best. As is boring through their brain-cases with that retractable inner jaw thing you possess.
Whichever you play as, either have their merits. Those colonial marines probably deserved it anyway.
