10 Video Games That Make You Realise How Greedy The Industry Has Become

5. Unnecessary Call Of Duty Instalments EVERY Year

There’s something to be said about yearly releases in this day and age. Are they really necessary? We can surely go without having the same titles come out every year like FIFA or in this case Call of Duty. Who's got the money?

It’s true that there are three different developers working on their own part of the franchise at a time, but do they have to be so quick to pump these games out?

Especially when they all have season passes and microtransactions.

If the companies took the time to make their game as good as it possibly could be, then fans will be happy to pay every year. It seems as though Modern Warfare (2019) has been the one to make this a reality, as it was highly successful on release and a few months later still has a significant player base – something Call of Duty has failed to do for several instalments.

The release schedule definitely shows how greedy Activision has gotten, and sadly seems to be a trend that other game companies are starting to follow.

Gaming is my thing but I do also like film and TV. If there is a game worth playing - or sometimes not - I'll be on it!
