Racing games have been around for a long time, but in previous years, it feels like they have mostly been used as a way for Xbox and Sony to show off how pretty their games can look.

But that does not mean the racing genre is unpopular. Much like sports games, racing games have their own dedicated fanbase that will play every new iteration of the game in order to satisfy their racing itch. This is no exception for the Forza and Gran Turismo series, as well as the F1 series and the Nintendo juggernaut that is Mario Kart.

EA could jump into the racing genre knowing that there were previously successful Star Wars racing games in the form of Episode I: Racer and Racer Revenge. Fans have even been rebuilding the games using the Unreal engine in the hopes of reliving the good old days.

But what better example to base a new Star Wars racing game on, than Wreckfest. It’s soft body damage modelling makes for realistic crashes and adds a satisfying wear and tear effect to its cars.

Add an in depth customisation system and this one could sell very well.

I am an open minded guy who is always up for trying new things. I love playing video games, watching and critiquing the latest films and tv shows and a big fan of football. P.S, I hope you are all doing well during these challenging times and that you have a great day.
