Fahrenheit/Indigo Prophecy is such a game, going from in-depth "What would you do at a murder scene where you're the prime suspect?" thriller, to main-man Lucas Kane literally fighting the internet by game's end.

Yes, David Cage had struck, coming up with a completely unique premise that saw you interacting with number of quick-time events to hide said body, before branching narrative paths dictated everything from who you talked to, to how you made an escape, or if you even surrendered to the cops immediately.

Following this, Cage decided the story needed to have bigger stakes, resulting in Kane being the centre of some Mayan prophecy, alongside the aforementioned internet being a sentient force that sprang forth from the computers of the world and created a being of pure dat- look, it was absolutely f*cking stupid, alright?

That intro though. Solid as a rock.
