10 Video Games That Released At The WORST Possible Time
3. Titanfall 2
In regards to a game’s wind being taken from its sales due to a window surrounded by similar products, Titanfall 2 has the worst of it.
Now, I’m not trying to say Battlefield 1 and Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare are amazing games, but the latter is very similar to Titanfall 2 from a certain standpoint. What’s worse is that Battlefield 1 and Titanfall 2 were both published by EA.
How unaware can you possibly get to think that two of your shooters don’t clash?
On October 21st you had Battlefield 1, a week later Titanfall 2, a week after that, Infinite Warfare. It could be argued that Titanfall fills a niche that Battlefield 1 doesn’t. Yet, when you compare it to the likes of Infinite Warfare, with wall-running and zooming about all over the place, you’ll see that on the surface they’re not too far apart. From a casual fan’s point of view, at the very least.
It’s an even bigger shame considering many adored both Titanfall’s campaigns, offering a very enjoyable and above par narrative for the likes of a first-person mech shooter.
