The Twist

Protagonist Max's hip photography teacher, Mr. Jefferson, is actually the game's primary villain, having a penchant for drugging and kidnapping young girls in order to photograph them. Beyond that, he also kills Nathan and then attempts to kill Max also.

The Early Reveal

Jefferson is basically outed as the game's villain in the opening minutes of Life is Strange's very first episode. During his photography class, Jefferson says, "I could frame any one of you in a dark corner, and capture you in a moment of desperation."

While at the time it seems like Jefferson is speaking purely in more innocent and flowery artistic terms, in reality he's basically hanging a neon signpost around his neck and making his true intentions clear.

If that's not enough, he even follows it up with the telling line, "And any one of you could do that to me. Isn't that too easy? Too obvious?"

Considering how many players figured out Jefferson was behind everything before it was revealed in the game's fourth episode, it just might've been.
