VR is a tricky beast where sales are concerned - you're immediately walling off a huge portion of players who don't want to throw down mad stacks on an expensive VR headset and potentially a fancy new PC to go along with it.

Beyond that, sales data for VR games isn't terribly easy to come by, causing many to assume that even the most popular VR games aren't selling millions of units.

Though Star Wars-styled rhythm game Beat Saber has been one of VR's undeniable breakout titles across headsets, you probably didn't expect it to have sold a staggering 4 million copies, making it the best-selling VR game to date.

Oculus also confirmed that Beat Saber has sold 40 million DLC songs, resulting in a total $180 million in revenue.

Beat Saber's popularity has also been undeniably boosted by extensive mod support, allowing PC players to insert their own custom tracks into the game.

For those insist that VR is dead or dying, think again.
