10 Video Games That Were ROBBED At The Game Awards 2018
6. Moss
When developers began making third-person games in virtual reality, we collectively raised our eyebrows; why would you make a third-person game when you have this incredible new perspective? Well, the answer is in the question itself. Everything is different in VR and third-person platformers are no different.
Along comes a game like Moss, and it proves why third-person games are really quite perfect in VR. You play as a person reading a story book, in which you guide an adorable mouse by the name of Quill through an overgrown kingdom. It's charming, it's beautiful, and it has a few "wow" moments. Seeing the character look at you, is kind of fourth-wall breaking but also immerses you that much more.
Moss, in all its glory, was nominated for Best Debut Independent Game and Best VR Game, but it lost those two awards to The Messenger and Astro Bot Resue Mission, respectively. It's hard to argue that it should have beat either of those games, but we just feel that a game like Moss should be recognised in some fashion.
