10 Video Games That Weren't Worth Full Price

4. Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes

The Metal Gear franchise has a mostly positive history, with many of the series entries being held to a very high regard amongst the video gaming community.

The most recent release, Metal Gear Solid V, saw a fantastic launch to the game and received positive reviews from critics and fans alike. As far as games went, Metal Gear Solid V was definitely worth the asking price.

But Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes, a game that released as a prologue for MGS:V, was certainly not worth the price it was sold for. While the gameplay was tight and the prologue served it's purpose, the game actually sold for £30 upon release. This is a ridiculous amount of money to ask for for a game that is really a glorified demo. The main story only takes about two hours to complete.

While it was an impressive demo that preceded a fantastic game, this doesn't excuse Konami for seriously overcharging for it. There was even a period where the PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game were going to cost £40, but clearly that was a bit too steep even for Konami.
