The fourth entry into the Microsoft exclusive franchise is a big one. With fantastic graphics and a large array of areas and weapons, there's a lot of data to have at once. Gears Of War 4 released in late 2016, when the Xbox One was in full swing and install sizes started to really peak.
While the base game is massive, there is also a lot of DLC and updates/patches to be installed. The current situation with updates is uncertain as everyone seems to report different sizes. With some saying Gears Of War 4 on PC is 121GB, and some saying up to 250GB, it seems as though different DLC packs and updates affect the size drastically.
With Gears Of War 5 on the way, and huge advancements in graphical power and resolution, it's possible we could see the franchise beat its own record as having the largest install size of any video game.
