10 Video Games With Excellent Gameplay (That Still Disappointed)

10. Halo 5: Guardians

Halo 5 Guardians

If you’re a Halo fan you probably saw this infamous entry in the massive FPS series coming.

The 2015 shooter had multiple games to figure out what fans wanted from its combat mechanics and it delivers those in spades in Halo 5. The core gameplay loop within the campaign and multiplayer modes consist of arguably the best gunplay in the series. Meanwhile, the janky squad AI and extraordinarily lackluster story that ignored any direction fans actually wanted it to go are a huge detriment to the overall experience.

The maps and gametypes are controversial at best and while new additions like Warzone had a few fans, it was almost universally disliked.

For those that enjoyed Halo 5’s modernisation of the classic Halo gameplay formula complete with a stacked weapon list and the inclusion of Forge, it doesn’t get much better than this. It’s just a bit of a shame that looking outside of those things, the game let fans down.
