EVE Online is one of those space-based, large-world games most players will never see the full extent of, as the universe of EVE Online is massive. The game features a total of 7,800 star systems, and players can visit each and every one of them. That's a huge game, but there's much more to EVE Online than its locations.

The game is an MMORPG, and it features massive battles players can jump into, but this isn't like an FPS, where you can have two teams of 16 players; the battles in EVE Online can feature thousands of players simultaneously.

That's a lot, but even with thousands of players, one such battle, the Bloodbath of B-R5RB, stands as one of the largest and most expensive in video gaming history, and it took 21 hours to complete. Now, you might be thinking that a beginner could jump into one of those battles and coast on other players' experience, but you'd be wrong.

It takes hundreds of hours to bring yourself from beginner to advanced, and this game doesn't make it easy. The basics take hours to learn, and it will require reading a great many popups and information panels to do.

Not to mention, you're going to have to retain a lot of information, master space-based business theory, and remember every feature if you're planning on becoming a master of EVE Online.
