10 Video Games With The Best 100% Completion Rewards

Beating a video game's main campaign should be enough to satiate casual players. The final boss is defeated. The world is saved. The credits roll. End of story.

However, gaming veterans will not rest until every secret is discovered, every collectible is found, and every side-quest has been conquered. Naturally, true completion isn't easy, since it requires immense skill and patience. It's also tough to find the incentive to beat a game fully when the final prize is something trivial, like a thank you card or a superfluous cosmetic.

Luckily, certain titles offer completionists something truly special. At first, it may sound almost impossible for any gift to live up to expectations. Even if a 100% completion rating unlocks some sort of ultimate weapon, there's little reason to use it once the story mode is finished. (Remember Thor's hammer in Assassin's Creed: Valhalla?)

And yet, some games managed to pull it off. Whether it's a secret boss, a hidden ending, or a ton of unlockables, these perks are worth putting in the time and effort.

Obviously, spending weeks or months trying to finish the campaign can be controller-bashingly tedious. However, the rewards on this list are so good, 100% completion is warranted.

Although there have been dozens of Simpsons games over the years, The Simpsons: Hit & Run may be the best of the bunch. 

The GTA III-inspired title perfectly encapsulates the spirit of Matt Groening's iconic show and accurately represents the town of Springfield. Thanks to the accessible controls, solid driving mechanics, and creative missions, someone unfamiliar with the 30+ season cartoon should still thoroughly enjoy it. There are plenty of activities to take part in, including winning races, purchasing costumes, and spotting well-hidden gags.

If players find and collect everything The Simpsons: Hit & Run has to offer, they'll be rewarded with... nothing. At least, that's what it seems like. But if a cheat code is punched in afterward, all the vehicles will be unlocked. 

Although every vehicle should've been purchased by this point, this cheat allows Homer and his family to drive cars, boats, and trucks that were inaccessible in certain levels. Also, each playable character can only drive certain vehicles in the main campaign. But with this code, this restriction no longer applies.

As such, there's nothing stopping the Simpson family rampaging through their hometown in the Mr. Plow truck, the Monorail car, or Knightboat (the Crime-Solving Boat).
