10 Video Games You Can Never Admit You Haven't Played
9. Tomb Raider
It's rare you'll revisit a title purely to see where a certain character originated from outside of wanting to see how particular game mechanic existed in its original state, but considering the tumultuous time Lara Croft has had over the years, the first 'Raider is like some Smithsonian work of art.
Few people know that Lara's gigantic chest-lumps were actually the cause of a momentary programming glitch that was then decided to carry forward, the 2013 version rebooted her entire physique to be more of a generally athletic build whilst reworking Croft's core sex appeal to come from a place of respect rather than just ogling what's on show.
Although it's hard to return to TR's extremely tight platforming mechanics - everyone remembers simply walking off the end of any ledge rather than nailing a leap - there's still much to adore when it comes to level layouts, Lara's debut (which is a treat in itself), and just to experience what's by default an essential piece of gaming history.
